Well America, looks like we have officially gone over the cliff. We have a rogue government focused not on important business of the people but a vindictive attack on a sitting president. I saw a recent poll which showed the majority of Americans don't think the president should have been impeached. Why is the Left so scared of President Trump?
Now we have AOC saying she wants to rein in the media. I agree the media in this country are complicit in the issues we have in this country. But you have to be very careful not to surrender your freedom of speech rights. I think her intent is to silence Americans and take away those rights. Look what happened in Germany! GOD help us.
I'm not sure the system is broken. It's the people in charge who are "broken." So much hate. So little tolerance. They are hurting themselves and don't even know it.
To all Americans, conservatives in America are under attack. I personally feel disenfranchised and no longer have a voice in this country. My greatest concern is the right will be pushed too far and will have no choice but to fight back. Civil war is not out of the question. We saw what happened at our Capital when a group of misfits attacked our government. I pray that we all come to our senses and find a way to co-exits. Glenn, I appreciate your insights and willingness to seek out a solution.
I'm a French citizen, but I'm always enjoying reading your posts and those of others not part of the mainstream media.
Although he did a good job on the national and international scenes, I was never a supporter/fan of Donald Trump who's a good poker player, but not a good chess player like Putin and Xi. The very last of his presidency was a good exemple of that when he rose the stakes higher instead of pulling out with his gains, which could have allowed him to keep on playing after January 20. By not taking good care of the Georgia polling the GOP could have won, he gave free reins to the Democrats for at least two years. Worse, he pissed them so much that they won't forgive him now and put a lot of people, especially his staunchest supporters, in the same bag.
I notices that many of these supporters are nos backpedalling as they see what is coming. A little too late and too cowardly, I think so. Because the Dems aren't stupid and earmarked many of them long ago. So, as it's too late to ask for mercy and try to pretend they never supported Trump, people should keep their ground and defend what Trump did good. It will be hard for them for the next two years at least, but remember Peter betrayed three times and had to live the rest of his life with that.
